It has always been important to light footpath & cycle tracks to adequate levels of illumination during night-time; good lighting assists pedestrians and cyclists by revealing obstacles and hazards ahead and increases awareness of movements or intent of others in the immediate area. However, BS5489-1 compliant lighting of cycle tracks and footpaths is now crucial given the roll out of electric bikes and e-scooters that can travel at much increased speed.Our cycle track and footpath lighting designs are compliant to prescribed levels of BS5489-1 to deliver good lighting onto horizontal surfaces, and excellent colour rendering whilst minimising light pollution issues such as sky glow and glare.
